SUBSTANCE: proposed method used for confining radioactive surface pollutants during repairs and decommissioning of reactor units involves covering of surface polluted by radioactive materials with foam layer incorporating film-forming material which is destroyed by mechanical method immediately upon its application.

EFFECT: enhanced thickness of protective film, improved effectiveness of confining radioactive surface pollutants.
