FIELD: construction, particularly roofs.

SUBSTANCE: roof comprises parallel tile rows. Odd-numbered and even-numbered row tiles are shifted one relatively another in horizontal direction for distance equal to half of tile dimension. Rear side of ach tile of each next row is laid on two tiles of previous row. Tiles define contours formed of closed curves in plane view. The closed curves are circles of the same diameters or ovals of the same dimensions or semi-ovals with the same lower part or upper part dimensions and, correspondingly, semi-circles with the same upper and lower parts. Outer tile edge, which defines tile shape, is created by semi-circle or semi-oval or tangents to semi-circle or to semi-oval. Fastening orifices are made in each tile. Roof is assembled of tiles of different lower part edge shapes with each row composed of tiles having the same lower part edge shapes or each row has tiles with different lower part edge shapes laid in any order.

EFFECT: increased roof quality and simplified roof montage.
