FIELD: mechanical engineering; resistance flash butt welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for resistance flash butt welding of girth seams of piston when laying main-line pipelines of single pipes. Proposed set contains tractor-power plant, movable platform pulled by tractor-power plant, control station, and welding machine arranged on movable platform, and cylinder to move welding machine to place of welding. Welding machine consists of rigidly coupled dressing device with two dressing diametrically opposite blocks, welding head with replaceable inserts for readjustment to suit the pipe to be welded and outer and inner flash trimmers.
EFFECT: increased labor efficiency, reliability of set and enlarged functional capabilities when joint long-length articles.
