SUBSTANCE: invention can be used on trailers with passenger car as prime mover. Method of braking of trailer in trailer-train with trailer furnished with independent braking system, central and side energy accumulators, screw pair of braking system hand cutting off, damping member, mechanism to switch off energy accumulators and brake mechanisms comes to the following: if trailer is loaded up to 30% of full mass of prime mover, brake system of trailer is cut off by screw pair. If trailer is loaded by more then 30% of full mass of prime mover, brake system of trailer is cut in by screw pair. Self-braking of trailer is provided at parking of trailer-train, if trailer overruns prime mover, in case of deceleration or complete stopping under action of springs of energy accumulators. At moving off, accelerated or uniform running, trailer primer mover transmits force to brake shoe expanders, thus releasing trailer brake drums, through hitch, system of rods and levers of drive overcoming force of springs of energy accumulators.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of operation of passenger car trailer train.
