FIELD: railway transport; locomotives.

SUBSTANCE: wheel-motor unit of locomotive consists of traction motor and wheelset. Frame 14 of traction motor is connected with bogie frame by means of link 25 provided with elastic spherical joints at ends. Frame rests in wheelset axle 5 through press-fitted motor-axle antifriction bearings 8 arranged in cups 10 installed in housing made in form of tube enclosing wheelset axle with clearance, cups being arranged in end parts of said tube. Longitudinal cut-off with flange along cutoff is made between cups at housing 11 by means of which housing is connected with frame by bolts. Displace rings 15 are installed between cups and housing. Labyrinth sealing rings 16 are installed between motor-axle antifriction bearings and driven gear wheels. Safety stop is installed on frame under bogie frame with guaranteed clearance between stop and bogie frame.

EFFECT: increased operation reliability of wheel-motor unit and locomotive as a whole.
