FIELD: waste water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to reagent treatment of waste and natural waters and can be used in mining and chemical industries as well as to treatment of galvanic effluents of machinery plants. Process of invention is based on neutralization of waste water and adding, as reagent, amorphous-structure aluminum hydroxide recovered from acid solution of aluminum salt. Waste water is first neutralized to pH 12.2-12.4 and then clarified. Further, clarified water is supplemented with the same aluminum hydroxide and once more neutralized to pH 12.7-13.0 at continuous stirring until precipitation of sulfate ions into solid phase is completed.
EFFECT: enabled removal of sulfate ions from waste waters containing sodium ions above 100 mg/dm3 to achieve maximum permissible concentration or below recommended for release of purified waste water into fish farm reservoirs.
