FIELD: wastewater treatment.

SUBSTANCE: wastewater treatment method includes the treatment of wastewater with calcium hydroxide and the binding of the formed heavy metal hydroxides with calcium carbonate. Calcium carbonate is introduced in a mass ratio to calcium hydroxide 1: 4-8 in terms of dry matter, when a pH value of 10-11 is reached, a flocculant is introduced, the precipitate is separated, and the clarified part of the aqueous system is acidified with carbon dioxide until the pH value is 6.5 -8.5. In the case of the presence of magnesium ions in the original wastewater after treatment with carbon dioxide, a flocculant is additionally introduced into the water system and the formed sediment is separated.

EFFECT: increased degree of wastewater purification, corresponding to the MPC standards established for fishery waters.
