FIELD: technology for forecasting methane deposits and black coal formations.
SUBSTANCE: on basis of combined analysis of maps of coal and gas fields and materials of geophysical operations, most promising areas for methane deposits and black coal are detected. Searching wells are drilled in sedimentary fields until formations of natural free methane and black coal formations are reached. Drilling for gas is conducted on the territory of known coal fields in zones of low and average stages of coals metamorphism, with weak tectonic disruption of coal formations and their total thickness of at least 10m. Drilling for coals is conducted to depth of their commercial extraction within limits of known gas deposits, deeper than methane deposits, if porous sedimentary or volcanogenic strata act as collector.
EFFECT: increased precision of prognosis.
