SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sanitation and may be used for disinfection in agriculture (in the presence of animal stock as well), various branches of industry, transport, health care, housing and public utilities. Disinfecting composition contains hydrogen peroxide, activator - a carboxylic acid or mixture thereof (formic, acetic, oxalic, lactic, propionic, citric, salicylic, tartaric, succinic, malic, butyric, benzole, or polymethacrylic acid) or anhydrides thereof, water or ethanol as a solvent, one or more high-molecular complexing agents in the form of water-soluble EDTA sodium salts (complexon II, III, IV) or polyphosphoric acid, surface-active substance in the form of quaternary ammonium compound - Catamin AB or Sulphonole, and, optionally, flavouring agent, in specific proportion.

EFFECT: provides for high antimicrobial activity combined with low corrosiveness and low toxicity.
