SUBSTANCE: according to the said method, chlorine gas solution in liquid tetrachloromethane is exposed to UV radiation in a reactor made of transparent material. Method provides for preparing tetrachlormethane, which contains less than 10 mg/ml of compounds with carbon-hydrogen bonds and double bonds.
EFFECT: elimination of contaminating compounds from tetrachlormethane.
