FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: electrical reactor includes laminated core system with upper, lower, middle, and two side yokes, with co-axial upper and lower rods, with winding placed on each rod that is comprised of two parts, with lead-ins to which winding parts are connected, with a converter with control system. It is implemented as a three-phase device with three lead-ins and three converters. Magnetic system is implemented with three upper and three lower rods. Two parts of windings are placed on each of them being implemented in the form of disks. The suggested scheme of winding parts connection with lead-ins and converters and the order of their placement over rods provide for twice lower magnetic flux in the middle yoke and twice lower amount of electrical steel needed for this yoke than that of known reactors. Implementation of winding from two parts in the form of identical disks on each rod provides for absence of circulating currents in winding circuits of different rods and absence of additional loss in windings due to these currents.
EFFECT: expansion of functionality, reduction of required amount of conductive material, electrical steel and structural steel, lower loss and occupied area.
