FIELD: mechanic.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes channels for inlet and outlet for the mixture being separated, and for outlet of permeate, a device for direct current conveying; separating chambers, electrodes, and membranes installed in sequence. The electrodes are designed bipolar; each of them includes porous cathode and porous anode connected to the device for direct current conveying, graphite fabric, and dielectric partition between them. Each electrode is equipped with an anode membrane and a cathode membrane; the channel between the membranes has spacers installed, designed as an ion-conducting grid, between the nodes of which, ion-exchange material granules are placed. The graphite fabric serves as a unipolar electrode and a drain for the outlet of permeate.
EFFECT: increase in membrane area and decrease in energy consumption.
