FIELD: construction, acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to industrial acoustics, in particular to wideband sound control, and can be used in all fields of the local industry as equipment for protection from noise. The acoustical barrier is specifically designed for installation along automobile and railway through-ways, construction sites and other noise sources, with the aim of protecting apartment blocks from loud noise sources. The acoustic barrier consists of acoustical boards, frame made in the form of supporting poles and horizontal profiles, on which are fixed the acoustical boards made from sound absorbing material. The acoustic boards can be translucent or sound absorbing non-transparent. They are assembled in the acoustic shield in combinations of vertical and horizontal rows. The translucent sound reflecting panel is made from a solid rectangular sheet of polycarbonate plastic, with the ratios of the lengths of the rectangle to its height lying in the interval 2...3, and the ratio of the thickness of the sheet to its height lying in the interval 0.006...0.008. The panel can also be made from a cellular sheet of extruded polycarbonate plastic with the ratio of the length of the rectangle to its height lying in the optimum interval 2.0...3.0, and ratio of the thickness of the cellular sheet of extruded polycarbonate plastic to its height in the optimum interval 0.016...0.02. The horizontal profiles are fixed in vertical grooves whose width is adjustable, on each supporting pole. The frame of sound absorbing board is in the form of a parallelepiped, formed by the front and rear walls of the barrier. The walls of the barrier are fixed by vibration dampening covers. On the walls of the barrier, there is a slatted perforation in the form of rows of rectangles. Adjacent rows are located with displacement, and the number of the slits in one row is even and odd in the other. The ratio of the width of odd rows b1 to the width of even rows b2 lies in the optimum range b1/b2 0.7...0.9. The sound absorbing material used is in the form of plates made from mineral wool on a basalt base, the whole surface of which is clad in acoustically transparent fibreglass material of the "ЭЗ - 100" type. The technical outcome is the increased effectiveness of sound suppression.
