FIELD: physics, instrumentation technology.
SUBSTANCE: method includes polarization of liquid running in a pipeline by strong electromagnetic field, and liquid detection in two successive pipeline sections by measurement of its nuclear magnetization. A signal of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) is recorded in one of the sections. Duration of time interval t0 from the detection moment is determined based on the condition of equal amplitudes of NMR signal after detection in the first and the second pipeline sections. Liquid flowrate in pipeline is determined by formula where V - is volume of pipeline section in which the NMR signal is recorded. The invention improves flow metering accuracy at changing flow conditions and liquid relaxation time.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of liquid flow metering.
