FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction. In a body with a rectangular cross section there is a stress concentration zone, which is loaded until destruction and from the obtained data there is determination of the critical stress intensity coefficient. The stress concentration zone is in the form of an angular segment at the point of intersection with the perpendicular edge. The zone is loaded from the surface of the angular segment until it almost breaks, after which the ultimate breaking load and parameters of the break off angular segment are measured. The critical stress intensity coefficient in the body is determined using a formula. The technical outcome is increased accuracy and authenticity.
EFFECT: increased accuracy and authenticity of determining the critical stress intensity coefficient.
