FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: device consists of elastic volumetric form with protector at the external surface, driving wheel hooks, and gas-supply equipment. Elastic volumetric form is made in the form of a hollow ring, divided to sections around their perimeter by lateral corrugated grooves. Neutral surface, splitting a ring cross-section to external and internal parts, is equipped with longitudinal rigidity elements; side surfaces of the external part of elastic volumetric form are equipped with lateral rigidity elements; and at the area of neutral surface, external and internal parts form additional bearing surfaces. Gas-supply equipment at least three devices are installed at the same distance of the whole internal part of elastic volumetric form. Lateral corrugated grooves of external and internal parts are made with trapezoidal and half-round cross-sections with gradually decreasing depth towards the neutral surface. Longitudinal rigidity elements are made in the form of flexible continuous non-stretch equipment, for example, ropes. Lateral rigidity elements are made in the form of flat ribs, connecting side and additional bearing surfaces. External and internal parts of the elastic volumetric form are made of rubber-cord materials using automobile tire technologies. The lateral corrugated grooves of the internal part of the elastic volumetric form are at the same time the hooks for interaction with the driving wheel.
EFFECT: formation of caterpillar having properties of wheel and caterpillar mover, floatability, shock-absorbing ability; good adherence to weak grounds, snow, aqueous medium, noiselessness.
