FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: SUSBTANCE: invention relates to production of large-size thick-wall parts, i.e. up to 1500 mm-dia. and up to 500mm - thick parts, from compositions based on tungsten, iron and polypropylene powders and aims at providing protection against radiactive radiation in operation of nuclear power plants. Using a polypropylene rubber in the above composition and a preset layers thickness on assembling them by a shrinkage fit allows producing the said parts without defects and with the ultimate fracture strength at the joint of layers making at least 120 kg/cm2.
EFFECT: allows production of good large-size parts with no defects.
