FIELD: petrochemistry, chemistry of high-molecular compounds.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation could be applied in machine building, especially in automobile construction for sealing vehicle bodies, glasses and chassis and, also, in building industry for sealing inter-panel sutures, window apertures at installing the blocks of double glass panes and their manufacturing and in other building articles. The suggested material should be obtained due to preliminary mechanochemical destruction of polyisobutylene or butyl rubber or synthetic triple ethylene propylene rubber or their mixtures in a mixer at exothermal heating up to 120-140°C. Then one should introduce oxidized atactic polypropylene followed by homogenization for about 0.1-0.3 h. Gradually it is necessary to reduce temperature up to 80-90°C due to adding fillers, mineral oil, pigments, dyestuffs, calcium stearate. The mixture obtained should be mixed to achieve homogeneous state. The material suggested is of high stickiness, adhesion-cohesion properties to concrete, metal, glass and mineral fillers, increased thermoresistance and resistance to cold flow. The method decreases energy expenses, increases performance characteristics of materials.
