Each communication device has a power consumption control function and receives information of the communication partner device in order to determine, based on the information received, if the control function should be used in respect to itself, or that of the partner device should be used for the power consumption control in the wireless communication network. The control function of the device selected controls the wireless communication power supply.

EFFECT: decrease in power consumption and elimination of malfunctions during data communication in wireless communication systems.
