FIELD: wind power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: air intake for pyramidal wind motor incorporating a vertical shaft with pyramidal blades uniformly fitted thereon has a support-and-rotate device resting on a bearing assembly by its top part. The said bearing assembly is fitted on the support part of the above said device. The device has a rocker whereon the tail unit and intake funnel are fitted facing each other at the intake central part. The tail unit, asymmetric relative to the wind motor axis, incorporates a thermal chamber to increase air thrust and to make a support for a hood that sets automatically the air intake windward. The intake funnel is a truncated pyramid having on its side a board to direct air flow and a counterweight to balance the tail units and intake funnel.
EFFECT: higher efficiency, reliability, safety, and lower costs.
