HEATER (VARIANTS) AND HEATER MANUFACTURING METHOD Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC F24H9/20

Abstract RU 2327085 C2

FIELD: heating.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to heat up rooms and can be used in heating engineering. Heater comprises a bent pipe which forms straightline supply and discharge sections between which a rounded pipe section is located. Body of thermostatic valve is placed at the supply pipe section. The supply pipe section is made of sections, between which the thermostatic valve body is located. Longitudinal axis of threaded mouth of the valve body is located perpendicular to the plane of rounded and straight pipe sections. Branch pipes of thermostatic valve body are made of welded material, identical to the material of the supply pipe sections. Branch pipes of the body are connected to the supply pipe sections by welded seams, located at the external surface of body branch pipes and supply pipe sections. In the butts of body branch pipes ends/supply pipe sections ends there are steps, in which the mentioned welded seams are located. Heater can comprise an overflow pipe connected to the first section of supply pipe and located upstream the thermostatic valve body in the direction of coolant motion. Supply and discharge sections of pipe at its bend area can have pipe reducers, oval in cross sections; end of every pipe reducer is round and identical in form to the corresponding branch pipe of thermostatic valve body; longitudinal axis of the threaded mouth of the valve body is aligned with the symmetry axis of oval pipe reducer of the supply pipe section. Heater manufacturing method comprises the procedures of manufacturing of supply and discharge sections of heater pipe by bending the work stock at the heater plane and forming the rounded pipe section; fastening the heat transfer elements; cutting the segment from the rounded pipe section and forming the angular indentation at the rounded pipe section. While bending the pipe work stock, at the bend location, work stock is shaped to the oval form in the cross section of the rounded pipe section; the angular segment (oval in the cross section) of the rounded pipe part is cut off and indentation is made at the rounded pipe section with oval edges of supply and discharge pipe sections; then oval edges of supply and discharge pipe sections are round-shaped for their shape to correspond to the form of ends of inlet and outlet branch pipes of the thermostatic valve body. Inlet and outlet branch pipes of the thermostatic valve body and supply and discharge pipe sections are connected by welding.

EFFECT: enhancement of heater reliability with simplification of manufacturing method.
