FIELD: technological processes, drying.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to timber industry and may be used for drying of lumber. Drying agent is supplied to working area of drying chamber along supply air ducts, in which it is heated with the help of channel heaters, lifts upwards along the wall and is directed from the top to the pile of lumber, passes through the pile of lumber top-down, being gradually moisturised, then, in the bottom, the drying agent is collected in the intake air duct and by fan is supplied into supply air duct, that is recirculation of drying agent takes place, and for removal of moisture saturated drying agent there is a system of exhaust air ducts and fan with valve, and for supply of external air in the working zone of chamber supply air duct and valve is used, and for lumber moisturising in the process of drying the system of finely dispersed moisturising is used, the drying process is performed with microprocessor control unit in automatic mode, which is installed in the operator's room.

EFFECT: improvement of dried lumber quality without prolongation of drying time.
