FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves supplying effluents in an immersible type evaporation device with smoke fumes, containing carbon dioxide, which react the alkaline component of the purified alkaline effluents to convert it into a carbonate. There is preliminary removal of part of petroleum product from the purified alkaline refinery effluents in a separator before channelling to the evaporation device.
EFFECT: removal of odoriferous components of effluents; production of a commercial concentrated water solution and separation of the useful component of the petroleum product using a simple and efficient method.
