FIELD: gas treatment.

SUBSTANCE: chemical purification of exhaust gases. A method is claimed for purifying exhaust gases of thermal power plants from carbon dioxide by introducing an alkaline solution into the gas flow of hydrocarbon fuel (natural gas) combustion products. In this case, the alkaline solution is fed in dispersed form into the exhaust gas flow moving in the turbulent mode of the thermal electric power plant. Recycled water (sludge water from alumina production) of alumina production enterprises is used as an alkaline solution. In this case, the ratio of waste gases and sludge water is 3200:1, respectively. The waste sludge water is returned to the sludge storage tank.

EFFECT: reduction in CO2 in exhaust gases of 12-14 vol.%., and ensuring the cyclicity of gas purification process.
