FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: said utility invention relates to construction, namely, to sun protection device designs. The sun-protection window contains frames with panes secured in a casing, an additional frame in the interpane space, a solar cell installed at the external side of the window and connected to a rotation mechanism. The additional frame has heat insulation with heat-insulating polymer plates with elastic links and metallised coating, containing a metallic insert in their topmost parts. The rotation mechanism is made of a current-conducting plate connected with the solar cell through a switch, and installed on two rods gimbal-mounted in the frames; the rod has external threading in the interpane space, with their ends protruding into the internal frame.
EFFECT: enhanced room protection against solar radiation in summer months and against heat losses through panes during heating season.
