FIELD: engine and pimps.

SUBSTANCE: hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder contains a sleeve, a rod, a piston dividing the cylinder inner space into a rod and piston spaces, a rear cover, a rod head and piston and rod head sealing elements incorporating anti-friction inserts of bearings of linear motion fitted on the piston and rod head bearing surfaces, respectively. At the said surfaces central part there are circular grooves, their length making about 1/3 of the length of the anti-friction inserts, and circular slots housing rubber rings, the slots communicating with the aforesaid circular grooves. The grooves and slots spaces communicate with the piston and rod head spaces via channels accommodating the valves. The material of antifriction inserts is impregnated with a binder to make the inserts elastic over the entire thickness that allow a good fit between the said inserts and bearing surfaces of the said piston and rod head, given there is a pressure in the spaces. The rod cover end face part accommodates a wiper element.
