FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lifting and transportation machinery, namely, to doubleacting hydraulic cylinders designed for displacing single, particularly, third extensible section of multisection telescopic boom of crane-and-manipulator plant. Proposed hydraulic cylinder contains housing with welded-to bottom, detachable through cover and flanged end connector, one-sided hollow rod with piston and pin-type end connectors, supporting-and-sealing members of movable and fixed joints, mud scraper and channels to feed working liquid provided with threaded connecting unions. Design of housing and piston with rod optimized, and takeoff of working liquid from piston and rod spaces is provided for successive operation of hydraulic cylinders of following single sections of telescopic boom. All load- bearing parts of hydraulic cylinder are made of medium carbon low-alloy steel strengthened by thermomechanical machining, and high-quality modern supporting-and-sealing members are used for mating and sealing components of movable joints. EFFECT: simplified design, decreased overall dimensions, improved weight characteristics, facilitated assembling, disassembling and mounting of proposed claimed hydraulic cylinder. 7 cl, 11 dwg
