The boring mud for transition construction under natural and artificial barriers by the horizontal directional drilling method contains (mass %): clay 1.0-2.9, fluid loss reducing agent 0.2-0.4, modifying agent - "ФК-1" agent - 3.1-5.0, water (the rest).

EFFECT: increase of lubricating and inhibiting qualities of the boring mud while simultaneously enhancing its capacity to retain the drill cuttings in the suspended state and to remove it to the surface in the process of transition construction.
