SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an adsorbent article comprising a top fluid-permeable cover layer, a bottom fluid-non-permeable cover layer and an adsorbent core. The article additionally comprises a first side barrier and a second side barrier being arranged along respective longitudinal sides, whereby each side barrier comprises at least one longitudinal elastic member. Each side barrier is disposed so as to characterise, when attached in abutting relation to the front portion, an embedded structure having essentially a Z-shaped cross section with a folder directed inside of said article.
EFFECT: providing an enhanced adsorbent article.
