FIELD: building.
SUBSTANCE: spherical resonant sound absorber includes a hard frame attached to a ceiling of an industrial building by means of a hanger. The frame contains sound absorbing material wrapped in acoustic transparent material. The frame is made perforated and spherical, incorporating two semispheres fixed with each other by means of, at least, three fixing elements, welding or glue. The hanger is shaped as a hook and fixed either at the lower frame point, or at both lower and upper frame points. Perforation is made slatted, with slats being formed in the semispheres, either along their parallels, or along their meridians; perforation coefficient is similar for both semispheres and equals or exceeds 0.3. The frame is made of stainless steel or cinc-coated sheet with thickness of 0.7 mm covered with polymer protective-decorative coat with thickness of 50 mcm, or alumina sheet with thickness of 1.0 mm covered with coating with thickness of 25 mcm.
EFFECT: improved acoustic absorption due to widened frequency range and improved exploitation characteristics.
