FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be applied in sowing of small-seeded crops, mostly long-stalked flax and rape. The method involves cutting surface soil layer to the depth of 1-3 cm, followed by plowing a trapezi-form furrow, 7.5 cm wide in the basement, by lifting the surface soil layer without shifting it aside. Then seeds are laid in two rows at the edges of the furrow. Uniform seed covering in the plough layer is implemented by loosened yet unbroken soil layer. The coulter includes a shovel with diverting weirs, hollow support and covering knives. Shovel base is sloping, it features trapezi-form top and diverting weirs. The diverting weirs are perpendicular to the shovel base. Hollow support includes two-row seed dispenser in its lower part. The covering knives have variable width and are tapering to the symmetry axis of the coulter. The invention allows improving sowing quality by simultaneous uniform seed covering at a given depth with account of argotechnical requirements for small-seeded crops.

EFFECT: improved seed sowing with simultaneous uniform seed covering at a given depth.
