FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method of processing methyl-dihydropropane and/or the by-products of the synthesis of isoprene from isobutylene and formaldehyde by their thermo-catalytic decomposition above the aluminosilicate containing catalyst with the preheating (or without it) of the source material in the presence of water vapour with the subsequent condensation of the obtained contact gas with the formation of aqueous and oil layers, and by isolation from the last products of the reaction: isoprene, isobutylene and formaldehyde characterised by the fact that into the contact gas, isoprene is added at the temperature 35-90°C with the mass ratio isoprene: contact gas equals (0,2÷5):1.
EFFECT: makes it possible to considerably improve the quality of effluents of the process and decrease the losses of end products.
