FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of processing a fraction of high-boiling products and a pyran fraction, which are by-products of process of producing isoprene from isobutylene and formaldehyde, by mixing feedstock with steam, involving preliminary evaporation and heating of pyran fraction to temperature of 400-480 °C, with subsequent decomposition of processed feedstock in a sectional reactor with an aluminosilicate-containing catalyst at high temperature. Method is characterized by that, decomposition process is carried out at temperature in reactor 430-550 °C with separate supply of feedstock into reactor: fraction of high-boiling products is fed into first section of reactor, and pyran fraction into second section of reactor.
EFFECT: proposed method increases conversion of heavy residue to 88,1 %, reduces consumption of steam.
