FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to protection of metals from acid corrosion using an inhibitor and can be used for pickling metals in acids and acid treatment equipment in the energy and food industry. The inhibitor contains the following components in the given percentage mass ratios: product of condensation of an amine with aldehyde, in form of n-dimethylaminosalicyl-n-bromo-aniline 18.1-23.9, N-(heptacarbamoil)imidazolidinone-2 11.9-13.7, methylethyloctylphenyl-ammonium iodide 16.4-27.3, urotropine 40.9-47.8.
EFFECT: introduction of the inhibitor in the said acids increases protection from corrosion of the mentioned metals and lowers reduces hydrogenation of steel.
