FIELD: mining engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method lies in fixation of the movement of the retractable part of the leg. When the leg yields under load the travel of the rod in relation to the plunger and the travel of the plunger in relation to the leg cylinder is recorded. During this process normal operation of the valve is diagnosed, when the plunger is pushed into the cylinder together with the rod that does not move in relation to the plunger or the rod is pushed into the plunger that slides completely into the cylinder. The failure of the valve is diagnosed when the rod is pushed into the plunger, which is immobile in relation to the cylinder being not completely pushed into the cylinder or into the plunger when it slides out of the cylinder. The device is made in the shape of a disk fitted on the rod with a possibility to move the disk along the rod under the action of an external force. Stop pieces are provided over the perimeter of the disk that can contact with the end surface of the cylinder. The disk has openings, in which indicating rods are fitted that can contact with the end surface of the plunger and can move in the openings of the disk under the action of an external force. The height of disk stop pieces exceeds the height of indicating rods.
EFFECT: possibility of diagnosing the status of valves of hydraulic legs.
