FIELD: radio.
SUBSTANCE: system uses single-user directional mode in which multiple data flows are transmitted to one receiver over orthogonal space channels, single-user non-directional mode in which multiple data flows through multiple antennas to one receiver without space processing in transmitter, multi-user directional mode in which multiple data flows are transmitted to multiple receivers at the same time with space processing in transmitter, and multi-user directional mode in which multiple data flows are transmitted through compatibly positioned or incompatibly positioned multiple antennas without space processing in transmitter to receiver with multiple antennas. Mode of space multiplexing for each set of user terminals is selected from space multiplexing modes supported by system.
EFFECT: system support of multiple space multiplexing modes to improve performance and increase flexibility.
