FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: external member is connected to trailer hitch. The casing exposed part represents a truncated cone. The casing has a cylindrical blind hole and is rigidly coupled with the external member. The trailer hitch end is furnished with a circular groove and is arranged in the casing cylindrical blind hole. The clampers are hinged to the casing to interact, via the casing crosswise cuts, with trailer hitch end circular groove. The rotary frame is hinged to the clampers axle. Extension springs are connected, by one end, with the upper clamper and, by the other end, with the rotary frame. The lower clamper is furnished with stops limiting the rotary frame turn angle. The stop is arranged on the rotary frame and is furnished with a moving rod provided with a ring, a spring and a pin. The spring is designed to press the pin towards the clamper end face recesses to rule out spontaneous clamper opening. The ring is designed to transmit the force of moving the pin from the aforesaid recess. The thrust bridge plate is arranged on the housing to limit the clamper travel on their opening. The casing has through holes for connection with the external member.
EFFECT: easier coupling/decoupling between tractor and trailer; reliable coupling.
