FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power plants, in particular, to thermal turbine gas expansion plants using the natural gas main line potential in GDS in heated gas expansion in the turbo-expander. The GDS gas turbo-expansion unit incorporates a compressor, a combustion chamber, a turbine, a cycle water heater, a funnel, a high-pressure gas line, a gas heater, a hydraulic turbine, a circulation pump, a hydraulic coupling, a turbo-expander, a generator, distributing manifolds. Note here that the circulation pump, cycle water heater and hydraulic turbine make a cycle water closed-circuit wherein the turbine is connected to the cycle water heater connected, via water line, to the gas heater and, via the waste gas line, to the funnel. The high-pressure natural gas line is connected, via the heater, to the turbo-expander the exhaust of which is connected, via the gas line system, to distributing manifolds. The turbine and turbo-expander shafts are coupled by the hydraulic coupling.
EFFECT: generation of electric power utilising the heat of exhaust gases of the gas turbine unit fitted on one shaft with the turbo-expander.
