SUBSTANCE: tank comprises a cylindrical wall, a flat bottom, a fixed cover and an internal cover floating on the petroleum product stored in the said tank. The said floating cover incorporates a suspension carcass. The fixed cover top accommodates hatches with hooks latching the upper ends of chains. The chain lower ends are fastened by ears arranged inside the chain containers fastened to the suspension carcass. The upper part of every chain is furnished with a ring arranged at a distance from the chain upper end allowing suspending the floating cover at a height from the bottom required for maintenance or repair jobs inside the tank. The said ring is hooked inside the hatch before discharging petroleum product from the said tank.

EFFECT: floating cover adequate height above the tank bottom.
