FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgy of rare metals and alloys, particularly to charge compositions for producing addition alloys of high-melting metals, predominantly metals of IV-VI groups used for alloying of titanium alloys. The technical result of the invention is providing the conditions for separation of drops of reduced metal from slag, their further coalescence and ability to refine metal from high temperature aluminate compositions. For this purpose the charge used for aluminium thermal production of addition alloys with low additives contents contains oxides of high melting metals, reducer, and fluxing and ballast additives. The charge additionally contains chlorates of alkaline metals of 7-9% mass. as per summary mass of metal thermal charge.
EFFECT: provision of conditions for separation of reduced metal drops from slag, their coalescence, and ability to refine metal from high temperature aluminate compositions.
