FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: self-aligning flexible screw pair contains a blind-hole nut, a nut holder in the form of a cut ballpoint pin with a cross-like slot and bearings. The bearings are fitted on the nut holder by means of a yoke incorporating a plate hingedly pressed by means of a pivoting screw and a nut, the bearings being arranged in mutually perpendicular positions on the axles. The nut is made up of half-nuts jointed by a flexible element. One of the half-nuts has a blind hole to interact with the cut ballpoint pin. The second half-nut is furnished with flat side surfaces for interaction with the bearings. The flexible element is furnished with crimps and can be arranged between the half-buts in sets made up of several pieces. The flexible element or elements are fastened on the half-nuts by standard fasteners.
EFFECT: expanded performances and smaller sizes.
