FIELD: mechanics.

SUBSTANCE: protective housing for automatic teller machine has a box section and a movable door. The door is furnished with a mechanism incorporating the catch assembly to close the door in a closed position. The said mechanism incorporating the catch assembly includes a drive cam interacting with a free-turn cam by means of a cam link. The driving cam is also coupled with the latch by means of a driving latch link. The driving cam motion moves the latch in between the drawn out and drawn aside positions. The latch can have a stepwise configuration of edges to ensure a stepwise engagement on closing the door having a similar configuration of edges.

EFFECT: higher safety.
