FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method of moulding varietal roll-formed shapes relates to plastic metal working and is designed for processing work pieces mainly with thickness h=2...8 mm with given mechanical properties. The method involves overcastting elements with a final bend radius, which increases with increase in h. For steel with flow point σf≤270 MPa, the value of the final bend radius is determined from the relationship: R1=(1,85...2,25)(h-0,4) σf/σb mm, and for steel with flow point 470≥σf>270 MPa from the relationship: R2=(2,15...2,45)(h-0,4) σf/σb mm, where σb is the breaking stress of steel, MPa. There are more application properties of the roll-formed shapes and yield gain.
EFFECT: more application properties of the roll-formed shapes and yield gain of the material.
