FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drilling equipment, namely, to the bottom hole screw engine spindle axial support in petroleum and gas well drilling. The bearing incorporates thrust racers with working surfaces representing the surface of rotation of generating line, i.e. a concave curved line with the tangents to every point of the latter form cones with a different angle at the cone base and greater angle of friction. Note that the cone base angle increases with the generating line contact point moving off the bearing central axis. The bearing incorporates intermediate bodies, that is, balls and blocks arranged between the thrust racers to get shifted radially, and a flexible floating ring to interact with the intermediate bodies over along the bearing inner diameter. The thrust bearing racers are fitted in turns on the shaft and in the engine housing.
EFFECT: lower wear, load and contact strain on thrust surfaces, longer life, higher reliability under bottom hole loads.
