FIELD: drilling equipment. SUBSTANCE: thrust bearing has bearing rings with working surfaces and intermediate bodies installed between rings. Working surfaces are made conical forming angle which vertex is directed away from center of bearing along radius. Value of angle is bigger than angle of friction between working surfaces of rings and intermediate bodies. Restoring floating ring in the form of flexible shell interacts with intermediate bodies over inner diameter of bearing. Intermediate bodies can be manufactured in the form of ring sectors with working surfaces forming angle equal to angle of working surfaces of rings or in the form of rollers with working surface described by convex curve with center located off roller. EFFECT: improved operational capabilities. 5 cl, 1 dwg
