FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to technical physics. Diffraction grating of polychromator is furnished with top aperture, with entrance slit provided in the centre thereof, spherical mirror being mounted so that its focus is aligned with the centre of entrance slit, angle between normals to grating and mirror being selected so that average spectrum wavelengths is aligned with normal to grating.
EFFECT: improved spatial resolution along split and cost-reduced polychromator design.
