SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical instrument-making and a diffractive polychromator with crossed dispersion. The polychromator includes an entrance slit, an echelle grating, a concave diffraction grating - order sorting filter, a matrix radiation detector. The echelle grating is concave and has a variable pitch of rifling. The coefficient of irregularity is determined by the formula A=(COSβ2-COSβ1)/(SINβ2-SINβ1), where β1 and β2 are diffraction angles, which correspond to extreme wavelength positions in a row, A=μ⋅R, where μ is the linear component of the coefficient of irregularity of grating spacing, R is the radius of curvature of the concave grating.
EFFECT: invention provides high light transmission of the device.
