POTATO COMBINE HARVESTER WHICH SEPARATES TUBERS IN UPWARD STREAM OF HEAP Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A01D17/22

Abstract RU 2332828 C1

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: combine harvester has shovels, lifting-separating device, vine separating unit, unloading transverse conveyer. The process of separating tubers from the ground, tops, and plant residue is done in the upward stream of the heap, moving on the trapezoid shaped channel between two arms of rod-shaped elevator canvases, inclined backwards against the direction of motion of the aggregate. The main drive shafts of the elevator canvases are installed in the upper part at different levels. Between these drive shafts a guiding roller is fitted with provision for changing its position in the horizontal and vertical direction. In the upper part of the separator, two rod-shaped surfaces are formed, inclined to the horizontal at a different angle. The surfaces move in different directions. The upper free arm of the main elevator canvas is inclined to the horizontal at an angle, which does not exceed the angle of rolling the tubers, and serves to reflect and roll the tubers. Arms of the vine discharging belts are pressed to the upper free arm of the main elevator canvas through the guiding roller, fitted behind the main shaft. The belts are put at a defined interval (12 cm) on a tuber-receiving (frontal) elevator canvas. In the lower part, motion of the main (rear) elevator canvas in bent places, is directed by rollers, and the motion of the tuber-receiver is controlled by a cylindrical drum, which has guiding tracks.

EFFECT: simplification of the construction of the combine harvester; lower mass; more reliable and wider functional capabilities.
