FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: root harvester has digging share, lifting and separating device 6 formed as drum mounted above upper run of main separating rod-type elevator 4, separating finger-type cleaner 18, discharge conveyor 17 and pan 19 for small plant and soil contaminants. Elevator 4 has carrier belts. Drum side wall has guides 7 which are in contact with elevator carrier belts over arc of at least 180 deg. Auxiliary separating rod-type elevator 5 is mounted on pipes arranged concentrically to guides 7 and fixed by bolts at intervals required for adequate separation. Auxiliary elevator 5 has width smaller than that of main separating elevator 4. Belt of elevator 5 is tightened on roll 10 positioned above discharge conveyor 17 so that upper run of conveyor 17 defines rectilinear separating surface inclined relative to horizontal plane. Space between rods of elevators 4 and 5 may be adjusted by repositioning of pipe attachment bolts in drum side wall openings. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction, and enhanced reliability in operation. 4 cl, 4 dwg
