FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns fireproof polymer composition and can be applied in tyre-making and rubber industries, particularly in parts of rubber-cord shells used in repair of sewage pipelines, interplant and main oil pipe lines, under continuous exposure to sparks during welding, to flame and open fire by ignition. The polymer composition includes chloroprene rubber nairite, sulfur, altax, stearine, diaphene FP, acetonanile R, chloroparaffin, antimony trioxide, dibutylphthalate, carbon black P-803, santogard PVI and combination of active fillers, in mass parts per 100 mass parts of rubber: zinc oxide - 3-8, magnesium oxide - 3-10, titanium oxide - 15-30, and carbon white CW-120 - 20-30.
EFFECT: increased fire resistance of polymer composition layer under continuous exposure of an article to sparks and open fire under pressure; technological compatibility with polymer compositions in manufacturing multilayer rubber-cord articles.
